Course Description: Explosives Detection K9 (K9EXDET) immersion course for the professional dog handler and animal.

Prerequisite: Participant must possess general physical health and the ability to endure harsh outdoor conditions and mental and physical exertion. This course is not for the faint of heart. It is strenuous and taxing. You will receive very little sleep over the course of the training and you will be exposed to stressful situations that will push you to your limits.

 

Equipment List: Business casual clothing or duty uniform, outdoor clothing, jacket or coat. A wristwatch. Laptop or mobile device. Boots, inclement weather gear, and backpack. Tactical flashlight. Headgear (Hat). Medical Kit. K9 equipment. Lead, harness, collar. Animal welfare gear. Kennel, cage or mobile K9 unit. We encourage all students to bring their respective carry gear, EDC and issued equipment. Please contact us if you have any questions on what to bring. Teams should bring all communications and supplemental equipment.
